Hammamet, Tunisia Travel Pictures

Hammamet is the travel destination of many beach package tours from Europe and elsewhere. That being said, there is much more to experience there apart from the sea. The Muslim culture, Tunis and the ruins of Carthage, Kairouan, Sousse, Monastir, El Jem (muslim towns, souks, monuments) and the Cap Bon area (landscape) with Kerkouane are all fascinating. Renting a car to travel the region is more fun than cramped bus tours. A great destination!
